Chatroom Feedback

Ten days later, here is some of the positive and negative feedback, taken from the updated version of Chatroom (sorry--old feedback doesn't count! I changed the game!).

"Without going into much detail, the ending was... really good and ironic on many hilarious levels but I felt that the fact that it ended that way led to a lot of plot holes in the dialogue, the biggest one being... An unusual, and well written, attempt at an IRC simulator. Some slight inherent parser quirks don't detract from an otherwise enjoyable game. Recommended.

Me too.

When publishing games anonymously, I think you tend to receive more negative feedback, since they don't have to say it to your face. Especially since indie developers put their own time/heart/effort into their games, for a fellow person to just reply "this game is horrible", it can make your 6 months of effort feel useless.

So that's why lots of people are nicer when you yourself post your game, because
1) They can see your face
and 2) They know it was your own personal endeavor.
